The Katy Trail is a 237 mile (386 km) trail stretching across most of the state of Missouri. (not to worry we are not riding 237 miles). Over half of it follows Lewis and Clark's path up the Missouri River, where you can ride beneath towering river bluffs while eagles circle overhead.
We will start in Booneville at the Trail Head Depot and Ride north and east to Rocheport (13.5 miles) and stop for lunch and what-not (A few fun Restaurants to choose) and we will continue on our journey. The plan is to be back to the Trail Head (Booneville) by 3pm for our return home.
Directions to the trail head in Booneville (about 1hr-35 minutes): I-70 East toward St. Louis – Follow I-70 E to MO-135 N/MO-41 N in Boonville. Take exit 98 from I-70 E (95.2 mi / 1 h 22 min) – Take Sportsman Rd to Prairie Lick Rd (2.5 mi/6 min) undefined Turn left onto MO-135 N/MO-41 N Continue to follow MO-41 N (0.1 mi) – Turn right onto Sportsman Rd (1.8 mi)Turn right onto Dunkles Dr (0.4 mi) – Slight right onto Prairie Lick Rd – Destination will be on the left (0.3 mi) Trailhead across from Booneville Depot
To Carpool/Caravan with group: We will meet at 8 am at the trail head location for the Blue River Trace Trail in Independence: Parking/Access point off of Little Blue Parkway between I-70 and east 39th St.S. Directions: Take I-70 east past highway 270 to the Little Blue Parkway (39th St/Mall Entrance, exit 17) Turn left, going north on Little Blue Parkway ½ mile; Parking Access point will be on Right.
