As spiritual friends, the Heart of America Sangha members support each other in bringing the skills of meditation into daily life with the goal of increasing wisdom and compassion. We meditate for thirty minutes then discuss our practice in relation to a relevant topic. Beginning meditation instruction is available at each meeting. We follow the Theravada tradition, the oldest of the still-existing schools of Buddhism. One need not be a Buddhist or hold any particular beliefs to benefit from the practice.
